I thought of that too... but she said there are only 2 parts left... so I ssumed everything will be fine, I mean it wouldn't be normal to make a war and end it at the same time just in 2 parts

I didn't see a happy ending anywhere. I just asked if it would be one because the previous part hinted a bit like that...

Part 19

Ony stared at them. He couldn't believe what he just heard. He saw how Katja took Basty's hand and caressed it. And how Basty smiled to her. They looked quite happy and Ony had to smile. Katja notice Ony's smile and looked at him.
-Katja I notice that you are change and it's good. Take a good care of Basty because he needs all the happiness what he can get. Well you need also and I really wish that you could get that. Maybe we could talk about divorce tomorrow.- Ony said and Katja got up. She went to hugs Ony.
-Thank you Ony so much. You are sweet guy but not the right one to me. Yes let's talk about divorce tomorrow.- She said and Ony hugged her back.
-Maybe I could come here tomorrow around 13pm. If it's ok to you Basty...- Basty nodded.
-I can go away so you can talk in peace. And I could be away whole day so you have time to talk. I hope that you are not mad at me because I fell in love with Katja.- Basty said and Katja came to sit on his lap.
-Have to admit that I'm not mad at you. I can see that she really love you and you love her. I have lots of memories together with Katja and those will always stays on my mind.-Basty nodded and smiled.
A bit later Ony left and Katja stayed with Basty. They still sat on sofa and Katja put her head on Basty's shoulder. He caressed her back and she smiled. She closed her eyes and just enjoyed being close to him.

Next day around 13pm Ony came to Basty's home and he were a bit nervous. But he weren't sure why he were. He didn't knock the door because he went to inside right away. Katja were already waiting for him in the living room. Ony didn't see Basty there and he asked about that.
-He left to do his own stuff so we can talk in peace. I think he had some work stuff. Don't you remember when he said that he can go away when we will talk.- Ony nodded and sat down on sofa.
-Yes I remember. I just thought that he would have been here and then would go away. But anyway let's talk... I would be ready to forgive you being with Basty and take you back...Let me speak.- Katja nodded and shut her mouth.
-But I saw yesterday that you really love Basty and he loves you. So I will give you divorce and I hope that you will be happy with Basty. And you can keep all those stuff what I have give you. Only if you want.- Ony continued.
-Thank you Ony. Maybe I could keep that car because I really like it. But other stuff you can keep or do whatever you want with those. I wanna start new life without expensive stuff.- Katja said.

Part 20


Later that week, everyone came to Basty’s place. He had called them to come. Javi was a bit clueless about what had happened. All he knew was, that Basty tried to find a woman and that he found her now. Mikel did know about it all. Marjolein had told him most of it. They all arrived there at the same time, and even Ony came. Basty opened the door, and let them in. A delicious scent filled the whole house. Basty closed the front door, and followed them into the livingroom. Katja came out of the kitchen, wiping her hands off on her pinafore. She had a happy smile around her lips, and a calmness had taken over the worry in her eyes.
-Sit down, I’m almost done with my cherry pie. Who wants something to drink?- Everyone agreed on coffee, and Katja walked back into the kitchen. Javi, Mikel and Mar sat down on the couch, while Basty and Ony took a chair. Marjolein smiled. Katja had changed a lot. Soon Katja walked back inside, carrying a tray with cups of coffee. She gave Basty a little kiss, and walked back into the kitchen. Soon the bell of the over rang. When Katja opened the door, the scent of cherry pie got stronger. It got Javi nearly drooling. Soon Katja walked inside, with the pie in her hands. The pinafore was hanging in the kitchen. Basty waited with talking till Katja sat down as well.
-I know you all wonder why I asked you to come here, especially Javi since Mar was involved with this case.
Javi looked at Marjolein, who held her hands up in innocence.
-I think you all remember the case I’ve been working on for months. I think it’s been two or three months now. A woman walked into my office with a request. I had to find someone. To be specific, I had to find her. She’d woken up sitting on a filthy mattress, wearing clothes who didn’t belong to her, not knowing where the hell she was, or who she was. I asked her to stay at my place, until I had solved the case. Slowly her memory came back, and she remembered her name. Katja. Also memories of her husband came back. A blond man, who appeared to be our Antonio. They’d been married for quite some time, and while he was head over heels in love with her, she loved his money more. Ony’s twin brother, Ángel, didn’t agree with this, and took revenge. Their mother, in fact, told me about it after she got some photographs from her son being with Katja. After that it was easy. With her help, I was able to catch him. He’s in jail right now. I know I was wrong, but I fell in love with her.. I tried to hide my feelings, but the night we all went out together, I couldn’t anymore. I had to kiss her, had to hold her, feel her..- Basty sighed deeply, and shook his head, a smile forming on his face while thinking back at that night.
-Soon after that she found out she was married, with one of my best friends to crown it all. She told me she’d never loved him, and fell in love with me. After I closed her case, I called Ony to come here. I told him the whole story, and at the end, Katja told him about her feelings, that she felt bad for hurting him, that she fell in love for the very first time.. The next day both talked together, and settled an arrangement for their divorce. Since then, we’re together. Well, we were before, but now it was official.- Basty smiled, and looked at Katja. It was quiet for a while.
-I am very happy for both of you,- Marjolein said, and smiled.
-Wow.. So, just for me to get it straight.. Katja was abducted by her brother-in-law because she loved Ony’s money, their mother found evidence, you slept with her, told Ony about it, they got divorced, and now everyone lives happily ever after?- Javi asked.
-In a nutshell? Yes, that sounds about right, yes.- Basty answered. Javi lent back in the couch.
-Wow..- He shook his head. –Live surely has strange things..- The others nodded in agreement. Katja cut the pie, and gave everyone a slice.
-At least I have the life I’ve dreamed of.. Being together with a man I love for who he is, and takes me for granted, a nice house, and a piano.- Katja said, and smiled.
-And cherry pie. God, it’s delicious..- Javi said with a mouth full of pie. Everyone laughed. Basty looked at Katja. Javi was right. Life had strange turns and twists, but mostly it always showed a way to love, to success, and he was lucky enough to have both of them.



Katja and I want to thank you for reading our story. We really enjoyed writing it, and we're glad that you liked it as much as we did. Maybe, one day, there'll be another one from the two of us Who knows haha?
