Part 30

“So what did he tell you and you forgave him?” David interrupted my thoughts.

I looked at him wondering if he was calmed enough to hear the things I would tell him. As I did that he turned his face and smiled to me so I knew that for that moment I was forgiven so I had to seize that opportunity “Um.. well he told me the truth, his truth..”

“And you believ…”

“Look Dave, I went down there because I wanted to hear from his mouth all the things you’d told me before and I just wanted him to admit them.. I was as furious as you were but after I listened to him, the story looks different from his aspect.. I know that doesn’t prove anything but… but.. I may sound stupid but I don’t care! He says he loves me and I believe him.. and the thing is that I’m too weak to stay away from him because I love him too with all my heart and I can’t stay away from him, even if that’s necessary for my safety. And nothing can change my mind now. I have decided.. I want to take that risk and follow my heart even If that’s the wrong path to choose!”

He sighed “I knew you wouldn’t listen to me.. you never did!”

I shrugged.

“I’m really not the kind of person you take advises from but I do wish you have right about him and that he’s better than I believe he is because Carol I won’t be a block between you two but if he ever, ever hurt you again with any possible way I will be the one who kick his ass and keep you away from him! I swear to God I’m serious about this!”

I smiled “Okay! I hope this won’t be necessary!”

“Fine. I warn him though.. but that doesn’t have to do anything about you staying home. You’ll listen to me on that, it’s kinda serious” he said with grave tone.

“Um.. about that-” I said and he grimaced “- i’m not staying outside ok! But I just wanted to tell you that it would be better if I went to Lisa’s home! You know.. it’s kinda hard for me to stay alone now..” I said with a puppy face trying to convince him.

“Mom and dad are at home” he smiled.

“C’mon you know what I mean! I just need my friends; you can come later and check up on me if you don’t believe!”

He thought about it a second and then he spoke “Ok then go, I’ll go inform mom and dad and then I have something to do but I will come and check on you so don’t do anything stupid ok? Coz then you fucked up!”

I giggled “okay..whatever!”
He hugged me and then he left leaving me on the corner of Lisa’s house path. I stood there for a minute looking at him disappearing from the distance and then I turned back and started running towards the woods…

I was running through bushes and trees trying to find the little house I wanted, the house in which I had the most important moment in my life so far, Eric house, my house! I wanted to be there because that was the only place I was feeling calm, close to Eric therefore safe!

Ok I know that I was going against the rules, my brother had told me to stay inside Lisa’s house and I felt a sense of guilt because I tricked him like that and I was playing risky but I really needed to go there. It wasn’t so risky anyway; who- except Eric- knew that abandoned house in the middle of the woods?

Finally after one and a half hours- because for one moment I thought I was lost- I found the wooden house that seemed more beautiful now than the last time I saw it. I made a step closer I took a big breathe and started walking towards it but the noise from a light footstep stopped me.

I gulped and looked behind my shadow a bigger one. I shivered, suddenly all the courage and the calmness disappeared, I was terrified to what was about to happen.. of course I knew who it was and of course I knew what was going to happen next. I just wanted to end fast…

Part 31

I turned slowly to face the unknown but as soon as I did I realized that he wasn’t who I expected to be. He looked me with his blue eyes full of a weird passion. He was hungry, hungry with hate and the pleasure of revenge at the same time.

I gulped “Ben?”

“Hello Carol” his cold voice echoed in my ears.

“W-what are you doing here?” i tried to stay calm but my trembled voice was giving me in.

“Enjoying the moment.. of you being alone!”

“How did you know how to find me?”

“I followed you of course! Well, not exactly, the truth is that I saw you with Eric yesterday, he wanted to show you something right? So I figured out that you would go back here again.. and there you are!”

I made a step back and looked around to see if I could save myself somehow from him, his look was so calm and icy I didn’t want to think about what he had in his mind right then. I needed Eric so badly…

Ben saw my terrified look and smiled “You know, you shouldn’t trick your brother like that. He was serious about the danger you could be in.”

“I know” I said and made another step back but this time he followed my move. I gulped.

He raised his hand to fondle my chick “you are so thoughtless Carol…”

I closed my eyes and hold my breath “please don’t hurt me!” I gasped.

For one moment he froze, I thought I made it worse that he got angry at me, but he dropped his hand and chuckled “No, I won’t hurt you.”

I sighed with relief but I was looking at him still terrified.

Ben raised his hand again and touched my lips with his finger as he got closer to me and with that hand raised my chin up so he could kiss me.
Just before our lips were about to touch each other I turned my head away “I’m sorry” I whispered.

He breathed heavily “me too” his voice was serious and he stepped back.

From a little distance away loud chuckles were echoing all around, soon enough the people who owned these disgusting laughs showed up. Ryan, Joe, Peter and the two troublemakers friend’s of Ryan.

“Burn!” the taller guy shouted laughing “that was embarrassing man!..even for you!” he continued.

“I guess my brother didn’t take after me, I wouldn’t aloud something like this to happen! He at least was the one who knew where she was!” Ryan spoke for Ben and chuckled.

“Shut up!” Ben murmured irritated and grasped my hand.

“Ben?.. w-what are you doing?” I whispered as I tried to free myself.

“I said I wasn’t going to hurt you but… they can!” he answered looking at them.

I shook my head deniable “no, no Ben please!” I tried with bleeding eyes but he didn’t look at me again.

He said nothing and like he didn’t hear me he pushed me a little forward. Warm tears started rolling on my chicks as the terrifying thought of what it was about to happen began to grow inside me, of course I was blaming myself for this, my brother and Eric had warned me, they told me to go home but I- as always- didn’t listen to them, I was stubborn, stupid and reckless. Now except from me I was going to hurt all the people who loved me, I wish there was any way I could change that, but I couldn’t find any at that moment. Ben was still holding tightly my right hand and I wish I was stronger than him so I could free myself and run away from them, run away from that terrible nightmare that wouldn’t end! I wanted to go home, I wanted to be in Eric’s arms so he could calm me down. I wanted Eric so badly!

“Please! Ben, it’s not my fault, please let me go!” I gasped and touched my already in pain hand he was holding.

Then he finally looked at me furious “you don’t understand! I can’t just leave you now! They saw you, it’s over! Just shut up and do whatever they say, you may live in the end!”

“What??” I sobbed trembling and tried once again to free myself but it was unachievable “let me go!”

“Shut- up! What did you not understand? You’re making it worse!” he said and started walking towards them.

“if you don’t let me go I’ll scream!”

“Nobody can hear you from here! You already know that! Now come with me and be quiet”

I looked around but the only thing I saw was huge thickly trees. He was right, nothing could save me. It was me and them, their shifty eyes were all at me, right then it was like a knife stack in my heart for the second time that day, it was all over. No help, no mercy, no hope…

I need Eric so badly!
